WA Banners On The Sidebar That Is Not A Bootcamp Site!

I see a number of great sites that add WA banners to the sidebar that are not in the making money online niche.

When I see this it looks out of place. Now I'm not trying to tell people what to do with their business, but I was thinking of better solutions.

Some people may not agree with me at all about this, but I would love to hear other opinions on this.

Solutions

What about adding at the footer of your website saying something like,

Thank You Wealthy Affiliate for helping to make this website possible.

Thank You Wealthy Affiliate!

Thank you Kyle and Carson, for making this site possible.

Then add your affiliate link to wealthy affiliate or Kyle and Carson names.

If people want to add an image on their sidebar

Make it an image that pertains to your niche. Get an image about your niche and say something like.... let's say your niche is about cell phones...

Do you have a cell phone that you enjoy using and want to let others know about?

Leave them hanging and have them click on the link...

I'm just brainstorming right now, but I find that more relevant than just adding a WA banner to your sidebar.

The Reason Why I Bring This Solution Up

Before I made money online, I always go to the footer of a site and read stuff added there. I would even click on the link.

If I did it, I'm sure other do.

I'm sure there are people who don't go to the footer, but some people may click on the sidebar link.

What are your thoughts about this, is this a good idea is there a better solution?

I would love to hear people's opinion about the WA banners on their sidebar that is not a bootcamp site!

Thanks,

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Like the footer suggestion a great deal.
A side bar WA image is perhaps appropriate in some cases, as to how you could achieve the money to obtain the subject of your site.
Then again you you make your own WA images?
I believe there are several items on how to do this ... i believe Claire first did this using a word method.
I am sure Canva would also be a good source.

Great advice, I would rather make my own sidebar image that pertain to my niche than stick one that doesn't, people would probably get better results. Thanks for your input David. :)

As a matter of fact, I think this is a great idea. I will implement this suggestion. Thank you for it, Evelyn!

Thanks! :)

That is a very good Idea, I like adding a note to the footer

Keep brainstorming...

GE

Lol, you don't want me to brainstorm like that, I would drive WA members crazy, lol.

Good Idea.

Thanks Aussie! :)

I have put a banner in the footer but I like your wording and I am going to use that suggestion!

Hey Erica, I personally feel that would be a better option. People may get curious and click on a wording link rather than showing a banner image that everyone knows what it's meant for and that's to buy something, lol.

Great idea Evelyn! Thanks for sharing this idea as this is very relevant to many of us :-)

Hey Dominic, thanks! :)

You are certainly welcome :-)

I agree, great suggestions Evelyn. If you are promoting stuff that is not relevant to your niche, it will come off as confusing.

I never recommend having a WA Banner on a dieting website, it is completely irrelevant to that niche and unless you have set up the introduction in a highly relevant way, it will actually detract from the overall user experience of your website.

As a rule of thumb, RELEVANCE converts.

Relevant keyword => Relevant content => Relevant recommendation. Don't deviate from this strategy and definitely don't make irrelevant recommendations or it will totally confuse your audience.

I hear you Kyle, when I see those banners it kind of look out of place. I understand that people want to make sales, but I think those banners doesn't kill two birds with one stone. Like you said relevance converts. Thanks for your thoughts Kyle.

There is always a complainer in this community. Nag...Nag...Nag LOL

Actually those are great ideas for solutions. I agree with you Evelyn and I too always scroll to the bottom footer area. :) Boom-Boom-Pow!

Lol, me complain never, lol...

You scroll down to the bottom too, I think people should put it on their footer, it might work out better for people.

Thanks for your thoughts, funny how two people who scroll down to the footer of a sites are premium members at WA. I wonder if there are more members who do this? Thanks Boom-Boom-POW!

Actually one of the reasons I do it is, out of curiosity, to see if a website is displaying an affiliate link. But it has become a habit lately because I write niche research content for one of the WA Ambassador's website and that is always where I look to see if an affiliate link is hiding.

Well that makes a lot of sense, I do cuz just like to click on everything and read stuff, lol.

book worm. ;) lol

Lol, call me website worm..Lol

Thanks for sharing. You have listed some great ideas. I don't have a boot camp niche site and decided to make a page about WA and how I got started with my site. My theme has 2 menus so I have called this page "create a website" and have linked it to my secondary "upper" menu.

I haven't got any referrals but I can see that people are clicking on the links I have there. I added a link to siterubix where the person can enter the name of a potential website as well as a link to my WA profile.

Thanks for sharing your ideas and thoughts Tanja. :)

I totally agree with you. I would never put an ad for WA on my site as it has nothing to do with it. Your ideas for the footer is a good idea for those trying to advertise WA on their site.

Thanks Gloria!
