Hey there! When you obtain your own domain you are out there. You can access your domain through your .com and yes you are in google. Although not ranked because it is a process and there are things to learn and do in order to get ranked top you are out for people to visit your site.
Cheap Name has new programming. Where can I change direction of my DNS? It is not as it was
in training, Level 2, lesson1.
Hi. This is an updated video that should work for you: Transfer Domain Name DNS from NameCheap to WA
Michelle, the problem is, a few days ago I set up a new domain while doing the lesson with Kyle. Problem is, they (cheap Name) changed their programming during this last week so it looks nothing like Kyles film...I tried a place I thought it would go and it was denied.
Did you try the video that I gave you the link to? It is not like Kyle's training. Or, did they change everything again.......
Yeah, one would hope, but it the same video that Kyle did in Level2, Lesson 1..old technology now.
This is ridiculous, not again. I'm trying to get on their site and I can't even get in at the moment. Nothing like fixing something that wasn't broken. :)
Ok, under your username, if you run your mouse across it, it will show "Dashboard." Click on that and then it should take you to your domain that you purchased. On the far right, click Manage. Next, click on Advanced DNS.
Under Domain Server Types, you want to click the Edit tab. Under the Nameservers, fill in the first two blanks with:
ns1.mywahosting.com
ns2.mywahosting.com
(make sure the Custom tab is checked above this)
At the bottom, click to Save.
This should then move your domain to WA, within 24 hours, but usually a lot sooner than that.
