What is your story? I was in a very scary situation could have lost everything.

My life before WA

Someone asked me recently to tell my story - I thought I had been sharing a lot in my profile and posts however I considered the request and replied to my new follower... a story I will share with you today in this post. As I wrote my reply, I couldn't help but reflect on the many stories within the numerous profiles I have read since joining WA 2 months ago. I wondered also - Who here actually reads our profiles?

I try to read most peoples profile (I aim to read about 3 - 5 new profiles per day) especially when someone makes an effort to leave a comment and uses my actual name - Tracey. I try to make the effort, search, read people profile, and search for their name, and reply to comments using personal name as often as I can.

You see one thing I have learned here is that you do not have to be anonymous here - we are not alone, we can create personal and professional relationships. We can be honest, we can expect respect, you see here at WA I believe we are all buying into the community..., integrity, protection, from ridicule, harsh judgement, and free from persecution. amongst other things.

My message here today is that YOU are on the right track to secure the future for yourself, your family, your children, and your future...

My Story

- It is not about what happens to you but what you DO about what happens to you!

I was in a very scary situation about 15 years ago working full time, expecting my 4th child my marriage was failing because of my husbands gambling problem, I was fighting for my children who had disabilities and learning problems, my health was in bad way having heart palpitations due to anxiety, smoking too much - cigarettes and drinking too much coffee, then if that wasn't enough to deal with - I had a retinal detachment and lost sight in an eye - was so scary going blind... I felt I was loosing and failing at everything...

It starts with a DECISION

Out of shear desperation I made a decision... and made some changes. My kids were everything to me I felt I was the only one who had their back 'unconditionally' so I made a decision... to save myself and my children and create a positive future... my reason WHY and my goals included NOT being dependant or reliant on others for my future. to work towards being, emotionally & financially FREE...

Take Positive Action

I gave up smoking cigarettes, cut my coffee to 3 - 4 per day, quit my full time job - for a stay-at-home job, after spending over a year working on my marriage I left my husband, sold our home transferred my mortgage to an old building not one wanted but was big enough for my kids and It had "potential"... I made positive steps forward everyday was never easy I had massive hurdles along the way, but I am a lot closer to achieving my goals...

I have had a second retinal detachment, other health issues, developed AF after phenomena, and had 2 extruded disks was unable to walk for a few weeks and took many months to recover with some residual problems still... I have also made a decision, and taken positive steps continuously towards my goals to achieve.... and have - developed a bricks and mortar business, bought other properties, helped care for my parents who have now passed away, and have been there for my children. I have remarried and our 5th child is now 6 years old, and my husband and I work in our business together achieving and creating a new future for ourselves and our family. Believe take positive action - and you can achieve. This is my husband and I cruising somewhere in Tahiti.

The F#.... Word

My Final word - is find your freedom...personal freedom - financial freedom....

We are thankful and appreciate having found WA, the community here and life is looking good... We are working on a number of projects and one of the things I love is to help others to achieve their dreams and goals. Believe in yourself, surround yourself with positive people who can 'help' you emotionally, and physically when needed... protect what matters, most of all take time...
take time to....GRIEVE - BREATH ... and ACHIEVE!

Face you fears and dare to be different

I follow with interest - thanks for taking time from your busy day to read this I hope you can take just one thing from this to help you move forward in some small way today - cheers Tracey

PS - I encourage you to share your story in the comments below - or on your own personal profile, or not as you feel comfortable or motivated to do so.

PPS

In fact It would be great if any of you have the time to welcome a new referral I introduced to WA yesterday he is serving in Afghanistan at the moment and as you could imagine could really used our prayers and any words of encouragement... cheers Tracey https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/georgemills

Tracey,
Great post. We all like to think that we are caring people, but sometimes it helps to know who we are caring about. The encouragement from your story is another strength to play to.

Hey Alexx, thanks so much for finding and commenting on this post... great to know there are other survivors out here eh - I am curious why you do not have any websites posted to your profile page... keeping the mystery are you my new friend? best of luck with everything you do cheers Tracey

When I first came here I asked why a lot of the more successful people don't list sites, and the answer I usually got - if I got any answer - was to protect their niche. There are quite a few people who just sign up for the free account and look to copycat, or scam the system. I'm just not willing to waste a minute and have some idiot with no ideas of their own take advantage of it LOL. There are like 400k people signed up here, can you imagine how many are a tiny bit crooked? -Alexx

Thanks for the heads up Alexx, well of course as much as we don't care to admit it but some proportion in every population are not doubt dubious... Interesting point raised there.

That is one thing sorry but did not cross my mind. Here I had been thinking that there are more that enough people on this planet to support all the Niche we can create and throw at it. My Niche are hardly worth protecting from being copied...(In fact can still copy protect them or make material private and require password entry etc)... The training tell us to post our sites, and to make ourselves personal and visible to Google... which is interesting indeed.

The only Niche I would be concerned about showing too much would be my 6 year olds website - but I have forwarded his email and contact details to me. And we are beginning t monetise with toys etc via my affiliate accounts. But if our sites are not actually 'out there' how can they be ranked and drive traffic etc? I would have thought that WA platform would be a hell of a lot safer than out there in big www. following with interest cheers Tracey

Actually I wonder how can you actually tell here who is 'more successful' - obviously ranking is one indicator - however 'ranking' does NOT correlate to achieving any financial wealth. One of my objectives here is 'financial freedom'. - interesting cheers Tracey

I've figured it out with a few people based on conversations we've had, and then gone on to look for their websites to see how they implement things and found out that way. Not like anybody's listing all their earnings, for sure! -Alexx

WA isn't what you want to be relying on for traffic, Google is, and all your SEO work and social media, etc will get you Google and other search engine ranking

While your WA blogs do GET ranked, I don't believe posting or not posting your sites matters. You can still request feedback or comments without having to post a site on your profile... you just ASK for feedback and put your link within that one comment you're putting. It's the one exception to not putting comments in your text here at WA.

I'm so far from an expert, but I do have a really irritating habit of questioning stuff when I can't figure it out LOL and I've gotten a lot of killer answers to niggling questions over the last few months. -Alexx

Cool to know Alexx, likewise I run the risk of peeing people off at time - as I too have a similar irritating habit of questioning about stuff I have trouble figuring out as well - can be like a dog with a bone... hey thanks for the insightful conversation. - now I really should get back to building this thing cheers Tracey

Getting your site out there doesn't mean you have to put it on your profile, that's all. Doing other random thing, like submitting articles, or asking for feedback, doesn't keep it posted HERE for trollers, you know?

BTW for a quick response from me send a private message... I've been so busy I don't check activity that often ;) Nice chatting with you and keep in touch. You seem like a good person for brainstorming. -A

Thanks for keeping in touch - Just a quick read as I'm heading off so not entirely sure I fully understand your message. Get the gist I think... that not posting profiles and websites here in WA may offer some protection from trollers??? I guess so... and I agree, I have and do share a little too much personal stuff - mainly ~ inspirational and motivational purposes. Doing so also serves as my personal and professional 'think-tank' processing & affirmation process if you like - that helps my personal and professional development. I have found I am one of my best teachers... hhahahahaha following with interest cheers Tracey

Hi Chess, Thanks you are the first to notice my husband, he is cautiously watching my activities from the sidelines.. with a 'wait n see' attitude. Yes he is fit, he loves mountain biking, surfing, diving and we snorkel and fish together...

I hope you are now creating your own website without the need for your 'website designer'... read my profile - that is exactly what has been holding me back these past 2 - 3 years! Now I have hit the floor running

- I feel like FINALLY I have the tools to really get things going - I just wish I could learn, take-in and apply all this training by osmosis - but dammit I can't - but I am still doing it and just telling myself to 'take positive action every day - and nothing has to be perfect before I produce it' - cos I can always edit it!!!

I love your concepts and speciality Niche - There is an incredible potential you have there. What do you want to achieve? If you are feeling stuck reach out to me or others here and we are sure to give up a little tip here and there a boost or idea you can run with. You can do it best wishes for a fantastic day & week ahead following with interest cheers Tracey

Thanks for your kind comments Tracey and your offer of help, I certainly need it sometimes. By the way, wanted to ask you about your AF, how is it being treated may I ask? As far as my niche is concerned, I know it's not a money spinner, but you never know. I'm just hoping that people take on board what I'm trying to impart to drastically improve their health. It would be reward enough if just one person avoided a serious disease because of my website. The members on this site, including yourself, are really amazing and I thank my lucky stars I found this incredible community. I can't imagine myself ever leaving! I'm also following you with great interest, I have a feeling you and your husband will go far and all your hard work and past experiences will help you achieve all your dreams. Ches

Hy Ches,

It worries me - why do you think your Niche is NOT a money spinner? - It is a perfect Niche...!
I hope you don't mind my further comments and 'constructive criticism' here but I try to speak from the hip and offer positive support - and the odd kick where I feel could be helpful.

Your job is to find a 'solution to someone s problem' - and to monetise from this is to offer the solutions that can be helpful and mutually beneficial. That is you go out and find a solution that you can be paid for introducing to someone who will be benefited by your solution!

That is it - simple (actually you have just motivated me to start another website a little more personal one - just not today)

Firatly I would move your home page to the reviews tab within the menu... Your home page needs to affirm to people that they have in fact arrived to the right location to continue their search. So tell them that have indeed arrived to the right place - then 'SHOW' them why... I love your easy speak, narration and you obviously have some excellent content...the imagery is fantastic... carry on.

Remember the training Kyle says we need to create 3 primary Tabs to our menu... then list 10 'issues' down from each menu Tab... that is what you need to do for now...

As for monetizing there are lots of magnesium products in the market, review some find out which offer what benefits, ask people what they have tried and what benefits they have found if any (you could even write a post within WA as a sample of the wider population -and can be a safe way to test yourself here in WA). Write materiel from your findings and respond with any new experiences...

Lifestyle issues as well diet, exercise, other issues and helpful solutions,. support groups... research reviews you could include find out what memberships, subscriptions are out there as well you could monetize and offer solutions at the same time... hope you find at least one thing here that could help you

On a final note I went out and Goggled
"Magnesium products and services + Affiliate program" and found a whole lot of interesting stuff you could check out...

- cheers Tracey

Thanks Tracey, for taking the time out for all those suggestions, my head's spinning. I have put some links and a couple of ads on the side bar and will get there slowly but surely. As far as magnesium supplements and services are concerned, I'm trying to find out where you can get the correct test for deficiency in different countries, (standard serum test is rubbish). I don't want to 'clutter' my site up with ads, links are best for this type of site I think. Thanks again for your helpful 'critique'. I will check out the google search.

Very inspiring story I admire your courage and strength, I am not so open about my challenges of life, however what drives me is my children and grand children now, have sent a welcome to George

Hiya Katie, we don't all have to be as open as me about any challenges in like - I chose to share my story because in some strange way in my sharing it brings it more real or objective - and helps to remind me how far I have come, and how when it gets tough or uncomfortable - my 'reasons' reinforce and strengthen my resilience and keep my goals alive - with passion and purpose I can better progress.

Thanks again for welcoming George - he is facing a great deal of challenges serving with peace-keeping mission in Afghanistan. As I said to him - if he has access to the internet (even if is sporadic) then he has the ability to build a business here with the help of WA.

If I can - if George can - then anyone can!

Tracey...You know, whenever I start to feel sorry for myself because of some bump I've encountered along the road of life...and like most of us, I've had a few!...I look myself in the mirror and say, "Knock it off. There are folks out there in the world who are going through tougher things than you are and they're doing a heck of a better job at dealing with it than you are!"

You, my Lady, are living proof that it is true. Can't believe all that you have been through, but I am VERY impressed with how you've dealt with everything. You are an inspiration to us all. Thanks for sharing your story with us.

If I complained about my shoes not fitting or getting holes he would point out a child who had NO SHOES, if I complained further he would point out the child who HAS NO FEET...!
