Riding The Momentum

TL; DR

When you feel you're so exited about something. You're gaining momentum. Don't waste it. Do everything you can to maintain the momentum!

I joined WA months ago as a free member and never set aside even a single hour to really take a look and at least tried all the features and benefits being offered. I guess the main reason was because I've been bouncing around from platform to platform, one membership to another without really thinking about getting momentum and move upward with it.

Fortunately, for most of us, at the end of the year there is always this contemplation of what we have done the entire year and what we should be doing next year. There will come the time for new year resolution. That's the time when the momentum come!

Unfortunately, - sadly this is just the opposite of the above -, we most likely never really catch the momentum. We get so exited for a while. Then afterwards, nothing!

Back to my WA journey. I think I'm gaining momentum when I started to get involved with the community. Writing comments, answering questions and also writing blogs apart from finishing all the training.

This writing is indeed one of my efforts not to lose the momentum. No matter how hard it is to do.

One resource that I love to refer is one of Simon Sinek's. He says that success is an elusive thing. The only way to check when you're successful or not is by measuring it. Surprisingly, it has something to do with momentum. Sinek is less concerned with financial or lifestyle markers as success measurements and more about momentum, and seeing things start and begin to roll by themselves. He compares this to a rolling stone that gathers no moss and layers his purpose to keep that initiative moving.

So, according to him, markers such financial goal, or the size of the house that we want to buy are just nice things. Off course, we can go for it. But those are not measurements of success. For him, it's momentum. Something that rolling. Something that you need to give a push. Or it will be going to stop. An object in static is much harder to get going. It requires a lot more energy to get something started that it does to keep it going.

That is why, when you're in the momentum, when you are so excited about something it's time to push it even more, because then it will be a lot easier to get going. Ride and get it moving, faster, faster and faster.
