The other members have made some excellent suggestions you might want to narrow things down even further by being gender specific.

Perhaps do a bit of research first; write a list on types of fragrances. --teacup's response is a great one for breaking down your niche idea with the natural ingredients for those with allergies. Perhaps use that and break it down further to see if you want fragrances for him or for her. Check out those keywords perhaps with Jaaxy or other keyword methods. Type it on Google and see how many results of that you get and work from there. Hope this helps.

It sounds like you got you answer all the best

It is a good starting place. There is a lot of information about fragrances in general that would make good article material. For instance, I have allergies but some companies keep the chemical levels low and use natural substances that don't bother people like me. I know this because I used to be an associate for one such company.

There is a lot of research that you can do but to be an affiliate you might want to find what is available out there to promote and narrow down before you spend all your time on something you cannot use.

A lot of people ask this question about their potential niche idea's. I think that if the traffic is there and competition is not too fierce, it should be fine. I may be wrong about that. That's just how I see it.

Yes I feel like if I target both genders, it will draw more traffic because just one gender automatically eliminates plenty of opportunities for traffic.

I agree 100% on that.
