How do I get people to sign up to my site so I have their email address for marketing emails to be sent out to them?
Hi there,
The best way is to sign up for an account with one of the email service providers (Aweber, MailerLite, ConvertKit, etc).
The benefit of doing that is that your email subscribers are hosted on their systems, so they have the responsibility of keeping those subscriber details secure.
They also enable you to set up email sequences that automatically send out emails to your subscribers at pre-set intervals.
They also work to make their delivery rates as high as possible.
So, those providers all have sign up form generators, that enable you to create a sign up form using drag and drop.
Once your form is ready they give you some code that you need to paste into your site.
The easiest place to paste the code is into a widget, which you can then drag and drop into any location on your site that your theme allows.

Will someone add my website link to any of their platforms or all of them and I will do the same with yours? I believe it will give us both higher SEO rank
Follow what DianeScorpio had suggested friend. I agree with her. You don't want to start doing things the wrong way. If you continue to write more contents on your website, you'll increase your SEO ranking over time. All the best!

Hi - as your site is brand new and only has a Domain Authority of 1, it could actually lower the ranking of a more-established website. Besides which, Google frowns upon swapping links.
Backlinks have to be obtained naturally, through writing content that is so good, other websites want to share it.

Sorry but I have another question as well. When I add affiliate links to my website, do those act as backlinks as well ? And if I add other websites links to my site which are or are not affiliate links, will that help raise my Google ranking?
Hi - I use the Ubersuggest tool to check Domain Authority. It takes a long time and a lot of original written content added on a regular basis to increase it.
Put it this way, WA has taken 15 years to reach an authority of 57!
No, a backlink is when another website adds a link to your content. They are difficult to obtain, and not something that will happen when your site is not yet attracting attention.
At this early stage, you should simply be adding as much original content as you can. Nothing much happens until you have at least 30 to 40 posts.
You can't rush the process or try and fool Google in any way.

Your initial question was about swapping links, and this is when domain authority needs to be considered.
However, although a high level domain authority can indicate success, it is possible to make money with a lower domain authority.
I have several websites, and the most successful is 18 months old, has 78 posts and has a domain authority of 9.
No I knowntjatbthe WA ranking has nothing to do with any of your websites bit it does show that you are extremely active here at WA. So assumabley, I would imagine that your websites would be in the later stages of development with higher authority and rankings. I apologize if I am irritating you with my questions and comments . But without asking these (in your opinion) stupid questions, I would not be gaining any extra knowledge or information.
