Rambling Rant - Privacy Concerns
This started out as a reply to keishalina's post here today,
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/keishalina/blog/heads-up-fin...
and I cut it to pasted it in my own blog instead. My reply was submitted, as it was relative to the post...
The post shared about reading the 'fine print,' specifically about the Google alert about their upcoming new terms clause..
Some of the following text went off topic, and my brain raced down the chute to Alice's place....grin.
******
Did you ever think that the fine print is so small on purpose, so that nobody would take the time to actually read it?
'Read the fine print' has become a cliche, so we ignore the fine print because we think we know what it's going to say...
However, we really all do need to read the fine print!
But hey, let me really go out on a limb here, privacy is only as valuable as you make it. For some of us, we value our privacy, and some of us probably read the fine print. I Do!
Heres something to consider:
where would your website be if Google was not here?
Would your website survive?
Don't put all of your eggs in one basket.
Sure, Google offers a ton of options. Like processed food, easy to use, yet harmful in the long run.
Harmful because everything you do is wrapped up in the technology of Google.
Anyway, that's it, mini rant over...
Rudy.
