This is my 60th blog...It's an even number and I thought how appropriate that my blog round out another set of ten..

I haven't been on WA other than to keep up with my emails, submitting a reply to a post here and there, and answering questions when applicable. Lately I've been late to the party and my reply would only echo what had been contributed already..

There has been a huge surge in the energy, has anyone else felt it?

I've noticed how it has affected me, in many good ways. That is part of the reason why I haven't been online much here.

The weather has been beautiful, here. Sunny after days of constant rain and storms that knocked out the power of an entire Island, go figure. To clarify, Lopez Island, one of the islands in the San Juan group of Islands, is the closest to Washington mainland, at Anacortes. Not sure exactly what happened to cause the outage, but whatever it was knocked out the power on the entire island.

Funny thing. Of all the times I've taken the ferry to Friday Harbor, on the largest of the San Juan Island, I never stopped to visit any of the other islands (where there is a ferry landing). So, an opportunity came up for me to travel to one of the islands...

Yep, it was Lopez Island.

I had decided to stay overnight and explore the Island the next day, yet, with no electricity on the Island, there were no available accommodations.

All was not lost, though.

Sunset on the Island

And this next one is for @JeffBrown - He and I were talking about seeing birds and wildlife up close and personal...

The falcon was flying about the same speed as I was driving....

That's about it from me for now...

Rudy

PS> One of the tags I used is 'The big 60.' (This was my 60th blog post). The big 60 also brought up some cool memories. On my 60th birthday, I had a themed party....BATMAN! Decorations and cake, some of my friends wore Batman shirts, and an acquaintance showed up as Robin....I had a great time with my friends!

How did you celebrate your birthdays at 50, 60, 70, 80 or 90?

We have several Bald Eagles here in Oklahoma... a few years ago I had the same experience with one as you did the falcon. I was driving a big box truck and it flew right along with me maybe 12 feet up. The wing span had to be at least 4 feet.

Though it was not a hawk, which many Native Americans find a blessing to have come across the path of one, or a feather lying in your trail... the eagle and the falcon are some majestic birds man. Good stuff.

Now that is in sync... Thanks Rudy.

Thank you...
Once I was driving back from a trip to the mountains. I was just outside of town, level ground, straightaway road. About a half mile ahead, I saw an eagle soar across the road. As I kept driving, I noticed that eagle was flying towards me. I watched for about 5 seconds as it flew, he was at eye level, then passed me directly over my car..

What a moment....all I could do was breathe...

I didnt get a chance to take a picture, but the image is firmly planted in my memories.
A ho!

Yep. That doesn't happen every day.

Another amazing moment..

Nice... thumbs up! Ready to fly...

I celebrated with a trip in my first 2 door coupe i ever bought. some thought why a 60 year old wanted a 2 door. I responded, that with no children and easy access to back seat for adults it was great. Best car ever 10 years later with 148,000 miles and no major issues. Most think its brand new! :)

Please....thats a no brained question...grin..why not!!?
I bet you enjoyed every minute, too...
What coupe did you get?

Nice hearing from you. Glad you could see beautiful things close by. Nature is so beautiful A breathe of fresh air.

So it is post #60 congratulations!

Thanks, nice to be heard...grin. Ah yes, the outdoors and breaths of fresh air are good for the soul.

It's cold with a lot of rain here, so it's not very energising. Be few months until spring comes till the awakening happens here.

Rudy

It's funny how we have islands so close to us that we pass/ fly over all the time while the rest of the world flies in to see them.

Always hoping that tomorrow will be brighter than today. Lets put this global darkness behind us and look forward with optimism and purpose.
